10 steps to self-register

Educational walkthrough only. This guide never collects your details — follow these steps on the official portal or at a Common Service Centre.

    Check eligibility

    Age 16–59, unorganised sector, not EPFO/ESIC member, not an income-tax payer.

  2. 2

    Keep documents ready

    Aadhaar, Aadhaar-linked mobile number and bank account details.

  3. 3

    Open the official site

    Type eshram.gov.in yourself. Do not use links from unknown messages.

  4. 4

    Choose self-registration

    Select the register option on the official portal.

  5. 5

    Enter mobile number

    Answer the EPFO/ESIC question and verify with the OTP — enter it only on the official site.

  6. 6

    Verify Aadhaar

    Complete Aadhaar authentication and give consent on the portal.

  7. 7

    Confirm personal details

    Check name, address and fill contact information.

  8. 8

    Add occupation & skills

    Select your main occupation and work type.

  9. 9

    Add bank details

    Enter your own bank account for scheme benefits.

  10. 10

    Download your card

    Review, submit and download the eShram card with your 12-digit UAN.
